for control of surface functionalities: the exploitation of
cleverly designed surface protrusions at the micron scale. In his
talk Prof. Eduard Arzt from the Leibniz Institute for New Materials
/ Saarland University, Saarbrücken, summarizes recent developments
in producing bio-inspired micropatterned polymer surfaces.
