The so-called "Arab Spring" that changed the course of many
dictatorships is now more than ten years old. However, the
situation in Egypt does not show many traces of a successful
uprising. The liberal students Hannes and Jannes are hence on
their mission to dive deeper into understanding the mechanisms of
a revolution. This is why they start interviewing an exiled
journalist from the country: Hossam el-Hamalawy. While initially
asking naive and colonialist questions about Egypt, they soon
begin learning about the impact and hopes of an uprising and what
the unchaining of oppression, even in Germany, might look like.
