++ English episode ++ Nicole Grobert is a professor of
nanomaterials at the University of Oxford. As chair of the European
Commission's "Group of Chief Scientific Advisors", she is one of
the most important scientific policy advisors. Grobert speaks with
Gisela Kopp and Doris Segets about her path into research and out
of the German science system. She discusses how it is possible in
policy advice to make good decisions under time pressure and how
her recognition of the importance of role models shaped her own
perspective on leadership. She also reveals her priorities to
realise her award-winning research work.
