Knowledge transfer across international borders – why this is
important for knowledge exchange and research, and how the field of
film studies can benefit from this, in particular, will be
discussed in this episode. Our 4th episode shifts the international
activities and partnerships the University of Film Babelsberg
KONRAD WOLF into focus. In doing so, we will discuss different
co-operations, such as with the Filmschool Network Africa, a
project established by the German Goethe institut. Dr. Anne-Maria
Stresing, Officer for International Affairs at Film University
coordinates the partnership with Wits University in Johannesburg,
South Africa. Together with Tiisetso Dladla, Lecturer in Television
Studies at Wits University, we spoke about the prospects and
chances of this collaboration, as well as the current online VR
project "Bridging Spaces" - a film project that emerged when it
became clear that Covid-19 had virtually sent the entire world into
lockdown.
