Alison Chow: Electronic monitoring in the criminal justice system

and It has gained prominence as a digital correction tool with
enormous growth in recent years. The advent of the Covid-19
pandemic prompted changes in both the technology devices and the
development of e-incarceration. Alison Chow, an international
Master's student at the University of Potsdam, who embarked on a
captivating comparative research journey for her Master’s thesis.
She delves into the development and application of Electronic
Monitoring and its impact on penal policy in England, Wales, and
Germany, all while addressing a crucial question: How does the
involvement of the private sector affect the accountability and
cost-effectiveness of EM? Furthermore, she delves into the cultural
and political factors influencing the acceptance and implementation
