Scandit: Smart Data Capture mit Augmented Reality with dmTECH

In the EuroShop 2023 interview with Jessica Grisolia, Product
Manager/Marketing of Scandit, we present Scandit´s a smart data
capture platform that provides barcode scanning capabilities for
retail employees via their smartphones. The technology was
implemented by dmTechnik, to improve the customer experience and
increase employee efficiency. The solution enabled staff to
quickly access information on product availability, ingredients,
allergens and sustainability via barcode scanning without leaving
the customer. The technology was easy to integrate and deploy
into the retailer’s back-end system, and the company saw positive
impacts on customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and
profitability. Scandit’s latest technology, SparkScan, is a new
user interface that can be layered into any employee application
and provides instant access to Smart Data Capture. In a time of
uncertainty due to inflation and supply chain disruptions,
retailers must look to improve the customer experience and
empower their store associates.
