020: "Why plant medicines are so powerful but not the right tool for everyone" with Lacey Ann Luna

Today's recording took place about a year after my Ayahuasca
retreat in Peru and I had the opportunity to speak with Lacey Ann
Luna. Lacey was present at every one of my ceremonies as a staff
member at the Temple of the Way of Light in her role as yoga
teacher and psychedelic guide, so it was nice to hear her voice
again after a year away from the Jungle and to talk about our
individual paths.


We start by talking about her own journey and her experiences
with "Huachuma" (San Pedro), a mescaline-containing cactus that
was her introduction to ceremonial work with plants over 10 years
ago, and why after her first acquaintance with ayahuasca in 2011,
she also decided to completely change her life.


She also tells us about her training in other shamanic healing
arts, e.g. in the work with "Plant Dietas", where she sometimes
goes into complete isolation with a certain plant for months in
order to connect with it and learn from it.


For you as a listener, after the talk you will have a much better
understanding of what is important when choosing a psychedelic
journey or a healing centre and how you can imagine the sometimes
hard but healing integration work afterwards. In addition, you
will know the advantages of psychedelic consciousness work
compared to conventional methods and why the mindset of most
Westerners - true to the motto: "Once taken and then I am
permanently healed" - is wrong.


The conversation with Lacey had confirmed me in my own
integration work and encouraged me to continue to bring this kind
of work to as many of you as possible. As the most powerful tool
I know of to break down unconsciously buried thought patterns and
behaviours and to heal old emotional wounds.
