Smart and Rebel Cities - What's On?

Arne Semsrott, Francesca Bria, Christian Rickerts What's Berlin's
digital strategy for the next years? How can technology lead to
more participation in democratic processes? Where do we need joint
initiatives by actors from the economy, civil society and
politics?  Which needs and ressources does civil society
offer? How can a Smart City Berlin be used for the common good
instead of glossy brochures? And what can we learn from other
metropolitan areas around the world? Barcelona, for example, rolled
out a Rebel City strategy focusing on the right to city and a
sustainable, participatory and efficient digital transformation. We
will discuss these issues with Christian Rickerts (State Secretary
for Digitisation, City of Berlin) Francesca Bria (Chief technology
and digital innovation officer, City of Barcelona)
