I have some tips for you, if you are at home with your children.
The most important thing is that you think positive, that you
will have a great time together. If you are annoyed by the
situation right now, your children will be annoyed to. It is much
easier to get through the day, if you have a structure. Write
down, what time you would like to eat, go outside and what time
your child should go to bed. If you have to work from home, try
to split the time with your partner. The time you are working,
your partner is with the kids.


For every child it is very important, that it can help with the
work at home. Cleaning up, give the floor a sweep also outside,
clear snow. It should be easy work but very important for you to
get done. So that the child feels much better after having done
all the work! After that the child is usually happy and plays a
bit on its own.


If your child did not learn to fall asleep by itself, and you are
annoyed with the whole situation at night, there is a possibility
your child can learn it in a few days! You just have to make the
decision and explain it to the child. From that day on, you bring
your child to bed and you say the good night sentences. Explain
that you will take care from outside of the room and if your
child gets up please bring him back to bed again and say the
sentences again for example “sleep well my darling, we take care
of you” and you would repeat it as long as it takes, until your
child falls a sleep by itself. After one or two days, your child
will be used to the new sleeping rituals! It is amazing how fast
children learn new rules and are fine with them.


To go outside is always important. The fresh air feels so great.
Now during the wintertime, we usually go for a walk. Last summer
we went to a small forest near by and it was amazing how it
changed our mood. Usually after kindergarden we went to a
playground and then home. It was many times a big fight. But
going home after being at the forest was never a problem!! We
were building up many things there like a farm with wood tractor
and many animals. One big change was in the lookdown is that I
had no chance to talk to other parents about our or their
problems. Please try from now on, not to talk about your
problems, you have with your child in front of him or her. Use
the phone while the are sleeping. It will make such a big
difference and many problems you had before will disappear! The
kids are very smart and they understand from 1 year old so much,
especially the tone of your voice if you are happy or sad or even
irritated.


If you have to work all day, try to have fun with your child
after dinner until its bed time. If you are stressed from work,
try to relax and be not stressed to your child. Your child would
think, he or she is your problem. Even though it`s your work. Do
fun things together in the evening your child will love it.


Keep in mind, that the most important thing is, to think positive
and make the best from this situation right now. If you are
positive, your child will be positive too. And if you are happy,
your child will be happy too. There are so many stressful
situations with children every day. I would have never expected,
that being a mom would be so difficult. I stopped counting the
situations a day where we try not to loses our nerves. BUT it has
gotten so much better with the positive attitude and staying a
bit more calm.
