In this weeks Podcast, I talked with Jan Bierhoff, on Europe and
its regions. Jan is a policy consult, former European journalist
and teacher at Maastricht European University. Jan has been
directing a research project on the formation of new regional
cooperation across national borders - e.g. the „Celtic Region“. The
project is entitled „Serpentines“ and explains, why regions in
Europe have their own ancestral traditions or languages and why
social, economic or emotional ties within regions is not
essentially structured by national borders. The project is embedded
into the activities of the European civil society network #CTOE
