By just "tinkering in the garage" (his own words), Eric Tischer
built a road legal electric vehicle more than ten years ago in
2008. In a time when EVs weren’t a thing and people weren’t
familiar with the technology. With knowledge from his previous
jobs, AutoCAD and an enthusiasm for car conversions, he converted
a Volkswagen Passat into an electric car in his California
garage.
