Zlatovlaska with the golden hair

The Slovakian fairy tale Zlatovlaska with the golden hair is
written by Parker Hoysted Fillmore. 


An evil king sends out his servant to look for the girl with the
golden hair. The servant, who is very kind and nice to animals,
finds the girl. She is a princess and in order to win her, he has
to complete three difficult tasks. With the help of his animal
friends he completes them all and he takes the princess to marry
the king. But then the evil king kills the servant and the
princess is able to revive him with the Water of Life. The king
also wants to live beautiful and young for the rest of his life,
kills himself, but Zlatovlaska doesn't save him and marries the
servant and they live happily ever after.
