Under this title, numerous European Jewish communities met in
Amsterdam to exchange ideas at a critical time at the invitation of
the European Jewish Association (EJA) – The Jewish Voice of Europe.
EJA Chairman Rabbi Menachem Margolin speaks with Maya Zehden about
the background of EJA, its challenges and the goals of the
conference. The European Jewish Association (EJA) - The Jewish
Voice of Europe - is an umbrella organization that represents
Jewish communities and organizations across Europe. EJA lobbies
European and national politicians with initiatives that aim to
contribute to the fight against anti-Semitism and intolerance and
the preservation of religious ritual practices in EU member states.
The chairman of the European Jewish Association is Rabbi Menachem
Margolin. He graduated from the Yeshiva in New York and became
program director at the Rabbinical Center for Europe in 2004. In
2010 he became general director of the European Jewish Association.
Margolin reports on the current problems of the Jewish community in
Europe, talks about cooperation partners in the 34 affiliated
countries in which EJA operates, and what goals need to be achieved
together in the future. ‚Fighting back for our future’ – Unter

Vorsitzender der European Jewish Association ist Rabbiner Menachem
Margolin. Er hat seinen Abschluss an der Yeshiva in New York
gemacht und wurde 2004 Programmdirektor am Rabbinical Center for
Europe. 2010 wurde er Generaldirektor der European Jewish
Association. Margolin berichtet von den aktuellen Problemen der
Jüdischen Gemeinschaft in Europa, spricht über Kooperationspartner
