"Wiederholungsdrang" – The Urge to Repeat in a Cultural Analysis with Drive

In May 2023, the annual conference of the IPU Berlin took place for
the first time. Under the title "Drive and Method", social
psychologists, psychoanalysts and cultural theorists spoke about
psychoanalytic perspectives in qualitative research. Steffen Krüger
is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Media and Communication,
and Head of the Screen Cultures MA programme and research
initiative, both at the University of Oslo.
