Gipsy Baron and Wiener Schnitzel. Operaguide for Johann Strauss’s Operette.

This is the very first time soprano Eleonore Marguerre presents
her operaguide in English as well - one of the big success
operettes by Waltz king Johann Strauss. The gipsy baron had his
premiere in 1885 at Theater an der Wien and you probably
recognize some of his melodies. The story takes place in Hungary
around 1750, when the heir Sandor Barinkay returns to his
mansion, where now gipsys live. There is supposed to be treasure
and a love story as well.. Will he embrace Arsena, the pig farmer
Zsupan’s daughter, or Saffi the gipsy girl? Eleonore Marguerre
stars as the gipsy Saffi from Dec 15th 2017 - Jan 6th 2018 at
