In this powerful episode, I sit down with Amira Mohammed, a
Palestinian activist and Israeli citizen from East Jerusalem, and
co-founder of the groundbreaking podcast *Unapologetic: The Third
Narrative*. Amira is at the forefront of reshaping how we think
about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, advocating for dialogue,
tolerance, and meaningful change.

Together, we explore her life as a Palestinian in East Jerusalem,
her thoughts on the challenges faced by Palestinians in Israel,
the occupied Palestinian territories, Gaza, and the diaspora.
With so much misunderstanding surrounding Palestinian identity in
Germany and beyond, Amira provides a much-needed perspective.

We dive into what drives her to create *Unapologetic: The Third
Narrative*, a podcast launched in the wake of the October 7th,
2023 conflict in Gaza. Amira shares why she is skeptical of some
peace organizations, the realities of advocating for peace in
such a divided landscape, and how her podcast has become a space
for those committed to non-violence and complex,
solution-oriented dialogue.

In this conversation, we also touch on her hopes, her skepticism,
and the sources of strength that keep her going. It’s an
important and enlightening discussion that uncovers the human
side of living as a Palestinian under occupation and in the heart
of a long-standing conflict.

Special thanks to New Israel Fund Germany for connecting us for
this conversation. Don’t miss this episode to understand the
lived reality of Palestinians in annexed East Jerusalem and the
broader struggle for identity, justice, and peace.
