Empty phrases
Everywhere you read standard phrases, everything possible would
be soooooo important, but these are lip service, the truth
usually looks quite different.
Whoever believes it is betrayed, word shells sometimes hurt
almost as much as bullet casings.
People wait for things that rarely come, that do not often come
true. Words without deeds are like thunder without rain, lonely
and meaningless.
Where has the common sense gone, the situation is heavy as lead,
the life laborious and hard, because the knowledge of the
circumstances causes pain to those who let themselves be bent too
much, are no longer themselves, live haunted by psychoses at the
bottom of a well.
The complicated circumstances make mental difficulties, more and
more people are mentally disturbed, suffer from their shadows,
are at least impaired.
Who am I? This question is more and more pushed away, numbed,
postponed.
To look behind the empty words requires strength, because here
remains in reality only a big nothing, a nothing of a nothing,
the atom in a grain of sand on the beach of somewhere. We take
ourselves too important, nevertheless always want to increase our
own insignificance.
The camps face each other irreconcilably, man is little human.
Where is reason and truth, virtues and goodness. It has become a
lonely world, the teaching of Buddha then gives support to the
seekers. Even "humanity" is only an empty word, like the animals
the brother beats the brother's skull in, if it must be also
without reason.
No matter how much blood sticks to something, the progress of the
"own" cause justifies the "well-meaning" for every outrage. If it
is for the "good" cause, then "that fits" already, is just.
Wherever honesty must give way to the good cause, the matter
becomes difficult. Rarely has mankind experienced so little
faith, the social cohesion of spiritual confessions has ended,
world views have suddenly become unimportant, times have changed.
To think about word shells, that is a pointless endeavor. But
there are very many people who cling to these precepts, simply
because thinking about them would be too painful, would confuse
them, would shake their foundations and would pull them into the
abyss.
When you come across empty words, try to look behind what is
being said, what is the real intention, why is this being said
right now, how could things be connected?
According to Buddha, we should question everything, take nothing
for granted, form our opinion NEW to every incident, which
excludes prejudices, and also empty words.
The way is the goal!
A sweet word often refreshes more than water and shadow.
