Let go part 2

The king stretched out his hands, in his fist his wonderful
diamond, worth a kingdom, he opened his hand, offered the stone
to the friendly looking teacher.

Buddha said, "Let go!"

Let go of the diamond, why? The renewed "let go" shook him out of
his thoughts, why? He looked into the face of the other person,
who obviously meant it. He let go, the treasure fell to the
ground, the sound hurt the king.

Buddha said again, "Let go!"

Now he was puzzled, he had nothing left in his hands, what should
he let go? He looked indecisive, then he heard for the third time
: "Let go!"

"What should I let go of, master?"

"Your ego. The posturing of being a king, the way of acting,
speaking, playing, taking a role."

Then the king understood, all the questions found answers at the
same time, the veil lifted, Buddha healed the ruler of his ego.

You want to let go? Then do it, "let go", you can do it with a
decision, comparable to smoking, "you" start, "you" stop, because
"you" want it, have decided so.

Suppose that from now on you could "get a grip" on your pride,
your selfishness, negative characteristics? That would be
possible just by a decision at any time.

We live without understanding, because we have lost our
instincts, but they are still deeply rooted qualities in us. The
one among us who foresees the emerging, new epochs, sobering, but
without shaking. No matter how it may come, deep within us are
stored collective events that can at least be tapped, the swarm
intelligence, that makes humanity special. We will find a way,
evolution has always been a struggle, the small against the big
tree, the young fish against the old, misery against misery!

Deep in us is something, which makes us put up the statues of
Buddha everywhere, without having the slightest idea, what this
teacher actually said and meant, why his basic idea
(enlightenment) is nevertheless so widespread. Or in any case,
what the present considers to be his philosophy. Few dare to read
the old texts, which seem to be completely out of time in
language and writing.

Whatever, free yourself from roles and constraints, live
yourself, try to open up to your karma!

Only the way can be the goal!

I will breathe in while contemplating my letting go

- Buddha - honorary name of Siddharta Gautama - 560 to 480 before
