Negative things

Very often I am asked how to deal with the many negative things
around us. My answer is simple: ignore them.

Firstly, the term "negative" already contains a valuation
(according to the great teacher, we should not judge), secondly,
according to Buddha, we should not let these experiences get to
us, but simply let them be as they are, take care of ourselves
and our environment, because we can not change anything, but be
an example to other people with our actions.

Assuming we would gather all inhabitants on the main square and
demonstrate together (probably illusory, never all will have the
same opinion), would anything really change? No matter how we
shout and rant? Probably not. Because it comes so, as it should
come, not at all differently.

But if we ourselves wear our wisdom like a loose shirt, become an
example through our appearance, then we can perhaps impress the
people around us, so that they then "imitate" us. Living the
teachings of Buddha outwardly, not just putting up statues in the
living room, no, but showing fellow human beings a way out of
suffering, just through one's own actions, speech and life.

Negative things are a matter of feeling. If I constantly see news
about war and misery, then something changes in me, the war
itself does not change a bit. There will be endless suffering
whether I know about it or not, only my self changes. But if I
wear my attitude "like a loose shirt", then I can show other
people that just not everything is only hardship and misery, but
that there is a way out of the cycle of suffering.

Here it is (first of all) irrelevant whether I am an awakened
yogi, or a "feel-good Buddhist", it is important to set out on
the journey, to follow the teacher of all teachers on the path,
to "appropriate" the example of the Buddha, so that I can pass on
the teaching to my environment. But not by proselytizing, but by
presenting a role model whose loose shirt looks so nice, so that
the wearer of the shirt seems as he/she is on the right path. And
the right way, it doesn't include war and misery, because the
person with the right attitude doesn't carry around all the guilt
of this world anymore.

If again the conversation comes to negative things, then simply
do not participate in it, let the bad energy drip off on you like
the water on an umbrella.

Read in the next days further, how you should deal with
"negative" things, people and experiences according to my opinion

The way is the goal!

Choose bad never to friends, never to friends the mean.

Seek to unite in noble friendship with the best!
