Drip by Drip: Unveiling Fashion’s Thirsty Truth – Episode
5: CAN INTEGRITY & GOOD GOVERNANCE SAVE OUR WATER
RESOURCES?

In our fifth episode, Amira Jehia (co-founder of Drip by Drip)
interviews Rebecca Sands, a water integrity expert. They discuss
the crucial link between water governance, integrity, and gender,
highlighting how corruption and poor management impact
communities globally. Rebecca shares insights from her work on
water projects, showing how transparency, accountability and
inclusivity - especially for women and marginalized groups - are
key to sustainable water solutions. They also touch on horrifying
issues like sextortion and exploitation faced by women for
accessing clean water and sanitation, as well as the broader
implications of governance failures in both the global South and
North.
