Styli Charalambous presents bold ideas that can transform
journalism in this episode of the b° future podcast – your
podcast for journalism and constructive dialogue, brought to you
the Bonn Insitute. 


Styli is the CEO and co-founder of the Daily Maverick, a South
African digital news site known for its award-winning
investigative journalism. He argues that journalism is a public
good, but it’s not treated like one – that's where policy
interventions come in. From market failure to government
subsidies to the national lottery to bitcoin, his talk looks at
big-picture sustainability and how policy changes could help
create an environment for journalism to flourish.
