If there was a "Workingdog Handler / Trainer Hall of Fame"
Cameron Ford would be one of the guys already being in
there.
He's been around policedogs ever since he was a child, getting
his first impressions from his neighbor who worked with dogs.
Later being a military dog handler in Germany, then a police dog
handler, SWAT operator, instructor and so on up until now, where
he runs Ford K9, has two employees and a lot of dogs, projects
and passion for his work.
The cool thing about Cameron is, that he never quit being curious
on things in the dogtraining. He trained with other animals in a
project for the Navy, also with several Seal teams but more
important, he began to find dialogues with researchers,
scientists, people from the lab and managed to build a bridge on
how to implement the theoretical knowledge to the practical side
of things. Now he works with different universities, supporting
different projects and helps gaining data himself also by doing
the "cognition classes" and many more.
You will definitely enjoy this episode and it looks like Cameron
will be back on the show for more!
